Showing ESRI Shapefile Layers on a Virtual Earth Map: a simple HowTo - Demo

  1. You can choose a sample Shapefile from the list below, then click the button to overlay it on the map.
  2. Once a Shapefile is on the map, you can click on any of its shapes to query it and show the info contained in the .dbf file (In this demo, only the last loaded Shapefile can be queried)

If you want to try one particular Shapefile, you need to upload it to the server by using the upload boxes below:
  1. Select the .shp, .shx and .dbf files to upload (you need to upload ALL 3 files)
  2. Click the button to upload the files. When the upload is finished, the page will refresh and the Shapefile will be loaded automatically.
  3. Once a Shapefile is on the map, you can click on any of its shapes to query it and show the info contained in the .dbf file (In this demo, only the last loaded Shapefile can be queried)
